My plan to make $10k a month (7-steps)
So last month I made decent money online from my YouTube channel.
Since I help business owner get clients from YouTube, I have to practice what I preach,
or else, nobody will believe me.
So I launched this channel to prove to potential clients that I know what Im talking about.
I’ll be sharing my strategy to hit consistent $10k months with just a laptop, mic & simple camera.
All without hiring any employees.
So if you’re a business owner looking to increase your income, especially with YouTube, this thread is for you.
What Happened
One of my YT videos went viral & I got plenty of booked calls from that:
From that, I managed to close:
1. a few done-for-you clients
2. paid consultation gigs
3. digital template sales
My plan was on point: to create content that proves my competence first, before going viral.
These were case studies, client testimonials & how to’s.
So when I went viral, people who liked me knew what I’m all about.
I helped people in multiple niches:
– mental health
– local service businesses
– YT video editing consultant
– a career coach
– lawyer
– doctors
It was very fulfilling.
What Works Online Now
1. Having a backend funnel is a must.
Content ➡️ Landing Page ➡️ Collect Email
2. My content strategy works.
Top funnel: trending stuff & personal stories
Middle funnel: how-to’s
Bottom funnel: client testimonials
Most YouTube ‘gurus’ only care about going viral
I started from the bottom and I went up.
This strategy helped to convert the views into clients.
3. Out of social media, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube,
YouTube is the platform where I enjoy creating content and has given me most of my ROI.
4. Email marketing works but it needs to be managed correctly
Currently I have 50% average open rate with 3% CTR.
My best fans are in my email list, and I need a way to uncover them to become a paying client.
5. Affiliate income works passively.
My first channel about personal finance is still making income even though I haven’t posted anything for one year.
I need to apply the same affiliate strategy to my new YouTube channel.
6. Digital products work
I saw templates under one of my videos for $5
People buy because they want to save time.
And some of those buyers who, like my style, ended up booking a call with me.
7. 1:1 coaching is lucrative & fulfilling, but is extremely tiring.
I could possibly turn the 1:1 coaching into a group coaching instead in the future.
8. Done-for-you service
This is how I see the most money in there coming future.
However, it is trading my time to help my clients build their YouTube channel.
But I see it as a right of passage before I start packaging things up as of course or Coaching program.
I have to do DFY services first, to hone in on my craft.
What Didn’t Work
1. Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn doesn’t work for me.
I never get booked calls there, and the quality of people who messaged me are low.
2. Referrals
Some people referred me clients but unfortunately, those people have not been exposed to my brand, and I have to sell myself inside the consultation call which is not ideal.
3. Brand deals
I am not ready for brand deals now because most of it are from brands I don’t use or believe in.
But moving forward, I will be open to brands who are more in line with my vision.
My Strategy to Hit $10k/m
1. What is your freedom number?
If you want to make $10k a month, you need to target at least $13k a month to make up for the months where you make less.
I charge $2000 a month per client
So $13k/2k = I need at least 7 clients
If I wanna work with less clients, let’s say five,
I have to raise my prices per client.
The only way you can raise your prices is:
2. I need to work really hard on my current clients to get them results.
Then I’ll turn those results as case studies to attract even more clients.
3. Somebody mentioned that I should be working on Rev share & I agree.
Will incorporate this, somehow in the future.
4. Now that I have my bottom and middle funnel YT videos done,
I’ll focus on top funnel content from here on
