How to Fix Slow Chrome Browser on M1 MacBook

I’ve bought the M1 MacBook Pro to handle all of my content creation on this blog, and have been extremely happy with my purchase.

But recently, I had a problem with Google Chrome & had to reinstall it. After reinstallation, I noticed that the Chrome browser is a lot slower than before.

I tried everything but found out the cause was that I accidentally installed the Intel-based chrome for mac instead of the Chrome for M1.

So if you’re facing a slow Chrome browsing experience, uninstall your Google Chrome and reinstall the correct M1 version.

As you can see, they highlighted the ‘Mac with Intel Chip’ by default. So it’s very easy to install the wrong version by accident:
