SEO is pointless in 2024 – this is your new customer journey
SEO is dead in 2024
and AI killed it.
Ranking #1 on Google search doesn’t mean anything anymore.
I started as an SEO blogger
& handled SEO campaigns for other company’s websites.
I realized that most business owners approach SEO completely wrong.
So it took me 2 YouTube channels & 3 years to finally prove my theory right.
Here’s my conclusion: SEO is a complete waste of your time.
If you want free organic traffic,
you should do this one thing instead.
Or else, you’ll lose out to your competitors who are quicker to adapt to this new change
At the end of this video, you’ll know:
- Why SEO is a waste of time
- My new strategy (that works)
- How you can easily get started.
But first, let’s start with a quick definition of SEO:
What is SEO?
The idea is simple. First, find what your audience is searching for online.
Then, create content to answer those questions the best you can.
If your content is good, Google will show it to more people when they search.
The better your content, the higher your ranking on the search results.
Once the viewers click, they are now exposed to your brand and enter your funnel.
This is a big business, companies hire agencies and employees to handle their SEO.
Why SEO is outdated
I worked on the SEO of my blog and worked on the SEO for another company.
Most business owners’ approach to SEO is wrong and outdated.
Here are 5 reasons why:
SEO IS OUTDATED – Reason 1:
SEO people work by trying to ‘figure out the algorithm.’
Like what keywords to use or technical SEO like titles and meta tags.
But in reality, Google, TikTok, etc are updating their algorithm to behave more like a human.
So, my point is this: don’t optimize for the algorithm. Instead, make it the best answer for humans.
SEO IS OUTDATED – Reason 2:
Most SEO people will track their KPI based on organic traffic.
But as a business owner, I don’t care about that. I care about revenue.
For you to rank in the first place, your content must be very helpful.
But at the same time, if it’s too helpful, they want to DIY the problem without hiring you.
So they get the information and leave.
SEO IS OUTDATED – Reason 3:
If your SEO efforts got you booked calls for your services,
The Prospect has no idea who you are.
They have no connection with you.
You will have to sell hard in the sales call.
SEO IS OUTDATED – Reason 4:
As you noticed, AI is a big thing now, and everybody’s using it.
I whip out my AI app and ask all of my questions there.
The last time I used Google.com was a couple of months ago.
I see this as a trend where people ask questions directly to an AI chatbot.
So, if people don’t go to google.com to ask questions anymore,
wouldn’t that make your SEO efforts pointless?
SEO IS OUTDATED – Reason 5:
For your competitors who still believe in SEO, they’re using AI tools right now to pump out even more content.
Flooding the market with content better than what you can produce on your own.
Making it harder for you to stand out.
What I did that works to get clients
So when I launched my YouTube channel, I had a strategy.
The strategy worked, when one of my videos went viral,
people checked out my other videos, they grew fond of me and gained trust.
My videos speak to their problems & they feel understood, and they book a call.
What I did essentially was build a personal brand on YouTube.
YouTube is the best place to build a personal brand,
because they can see you, hear you talk, and get your vibe.
It accelerates the know, like & trust factor.
It also makes closing a sales call a lot easier.
Because they sort of know you.
Why YouTube is the future
Need further proof? Here’s why YouTube is the future if you want to sell anything online.
- People want to work with someone with a YouTube presence
- People want to see a video of a real person, not an AI – people prefer human connections
- Stats show that people prefer to watch a video over reading about it
- Unlike Tiktok, YouTube videos have a longer shelf life – meaning, less work for you.
- People will binge-watch your YouTube videos – moving them further down your funnel.
- Most of your competitors are too scared to do YouTube
How to start YouTube
You don’t have to make starting a YouTube channel complicated.
Especially when it comes to gear.
I started shooting videos with my mid-range Android phone & a cheap mic.
You don’t need expensive courses either.
